Beach Equipment Manager

Our Beach Equipment Manager is responsible for setting up our premium equipment each morning on the beach and taking it down each evening for our customers to be able to relax while on their vacation or day off. This job is currently part-time/temporary for the summer vacation season from now to at least August. As we continue to expend, this will hopefully go longer into the Fall and even year around.

In addition to a $20 hourly rate, tips will be shared between the team, and incentives will be paid on referrals resulting in new reservations.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Move equipment from the truck to a cart and set it up on the beach in the morning then take it down and place it back on the truck in the afternoon/evening.

  • Walk to and from the beach which is soft and uneven

  • Work in the sun, heat & humidity, and rain

  • Start work as early as 6:30am until around 10:00am then again from 4:30pm until 8:00pm

  • When thunderstorms are forecast, be ready and available to either start and finish later in the morning or to come to work early in the afternoon

  • Warmly welcome and speak kindly to any customers or potential customers

  • Take excellent care of all beach equipment and ensure it is set up, properly cleaned, and ready for customers’ arrival

  • Drive a company truck or box truck

Qualifications

  • Enjoys working in a fun, team-friendly environment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Good customer service skills

  • Skilled in showing and applying sound judgment and decision making

  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English (Spanish as a second language is a plus)
